What is Healthy Working Lives?
Healthy Working Lives helps employers to create a safer, healthier and more motivated workforce. They work with all kinds of businesses, completely free of charge, offering practical information and advice to improve health and safety and the wellbeing of staff. Advice
Healthy Working Lives health improvement advisers offer advice to employers on a wide range of topics including mental health and wellbeing at work and can help you with, for example, health needs assessments, putting in place procedures and policies on smoking and drugs and alcohol and promoting healthy eating at work.
They can also advise on topics, such as, attendance management, managing return to work and health surveillance.
What is involved?
Experienced health and safety advisers visit small and medium sized enterprises to offer guidance on common health and safety issues as well as advice specific to a workplace. They produce reports identifying good practice as well as prioritising where improvements can be made.
A more structured path to a healthier workforce is available to all employers through Healthy Working Lives nationally recognized Award Programme. It offers a logical and structured approach enabling organisations to access Healthy Working Lives resources, training and advisers’ support.
