About IiP Scotland
New LONG Programme announced
We have selected Edinburgh based people performance consultants, Engage & Align Ltd to deliver a series of four workshops covering the key enablers of employee engagement. The workshop series is intended for leaders and managers in large organisations, and commences with a pragmatic look at how narrative leadership helps create a connection between employees and the business goals.
Engaging staff in the business is particularly important in this downturn as the long term survival of many businesses is dependent upon employees being more productive now that ever, often with less resources and more uncertainty about the future. Engagement goes beyond motivation and satisfaction with the job. When it is estimated that disengaged employees are costing the UK economy over £37 billion per year (ref Gallup), there is a real incentive to address this.
“The series is designed to give leaders and senior managers tools and techniques that they can use in their day job. We’ve deliberately avoided too much theory and models that delegates often find interesting but impractical to apply” says Liz Moody, one half of the Directors at Engage & Align Ltd.
IIPS are relaunching the LONG (Large Organisation Networking Group) workshops in line with feedback from their members and accredited organisations. “Relaunching the style and approach fits with our desire to be seen as a partner in promoting and encouraging the people element of performance in organisations, rather than an awarding body”, confirmed Peter Russian, Chief Executive of IIPS.
The Narrative Leadership workshop will be held on 6 September 2012 in Edinburgh.
