Freedom of Information Publication Scheme
The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 gives a general right of access to all types of recorded information held by public bodies.
Anyone who asks a public authority for information is entitled to receive that information, subject to some exemptions.
Under the Act, we must produce and maintain a 'publication scheme' setting out the classes of information we publish, how information is published, and whether it is available free of charge or for payment.
Our publication scheme has been approved by the Scottish Information Commissioner, who is responsible for enforcing the Act.
